RecombiSplice

Audio analysis, four-stem separation and mastering on Android.

The problem

Audio analysis, stem editing and mastering often require separate tools and repeated exports.

My role

Designer and engineer

What I built

  • Android APK and checksum
  • WAV and stem ZIP exports
  • Projects and timestamped annotations

The result

A shared audio workspace with background four-stem separation, five mastering styles, editable stem mixes and saved processing history.

Implementation

How it works

Import audio or video, inspect its waveform and spectrum, and separate vocals, drums, bass and other sounds locally. Mix stems, compare five mastering styles, and save projects with editable tempo, key and annotations.

Technical context and methods

Version 0.3.2 fixes mastering with loaded stems, shows processing progress and failures, and connects stem controls to main playback and its waveform. Local CPU Demucs separation continues in the background. The APK uses the existing ExoAVT access gate.
